ISLE™ Amino Acid Breakdown

Amino acids are the basic building blocks of the body, and are the primary factor in providing cell structure. Because of this, Amino acids are largely responsible for the formation of  tissues, organs, muscles, skin and hair. One of the most important job duties of amino acids include the transport and storage of all nutrients, by acting as the precursors of all enzymes and neurotransporters.
Research has shown that amino acids have aided in fighting against insulin resistance, reproductive issues, and several forms of metabolic disorders. Due to their importance in the entire metabolic process, they are often referred to as the “base of all life processes”. Click here to read more about the science behind ISLE™.
L-Threonine
L- Threonine is an essential amino acid. Essential amino acids are not produced by our bodies naturally and are only available through food or dietary supplementation. This amino acid supports in tissue development and plays a critical role in maintaining and regulating pancreas, liver and heart. The mucus-gel layer that is produced by Threonine in the small intestine provides a “shield” against digestive enzymes that can damage the intestines and help support healthy gut function.
L-Glutamic Acid
Glutamic acid is a potent, non-essential amino acid and a neurotransmitter. It is the main component in production of glutamine. Glutamine aids in the removal of ammonia, a potent toxin produced due to the metabolic reactions and denaturation of proteins in the body. Excess ammonia can cause severe problems from the brain and decreases liver function and prior research has indicated that excess levels of ammonia causes hypersecretion of pancreatic glucagon and inhibits pancreatic secretions such as insulin.
L-Serine
Serine is a non-essential amino acid found in the cell membranes and is also a neurotransmitter. One of serine’s most important functions is to create methyl groups for methylation (a mechanism that controls gene expression).  Serine is also known for its contributions to muscle mass because of the role it plays in making creatine. Elevated levels of Serine is Correlated to Lower Blood Sugar and more Insulin production by pancreas.
L-Lysine
Lysine is an essential amino acid that plays a particularly important role in the immune system. By adjusting the body chemistry, Lysine supports acid/alkaline balance, making the body’s environment less hospitable to foreign invaders. Lysine also aids in the production of carotene, which lowers cholesterol and converts fatty acids to energy.
L-Isoleucine
Isoleucine is an essential, branched chain amino acid. Although it plays many roles, it is best known for bodily repair. Isolecuine not only clots blood at wound sites, but is also responsible for muscle tissue repair. It aids in glucose uptake into a cell, as well as the breakdown of that glucose into energy.

THRINE™

Thrine is a botanical supplement derived from a copacetic combination of free-radical scavenging antioxidants, herbs, phytonutrients and essential minerals. These elements work together synergistically to help complement your weight loss program.

THRINE™ Ingredient Breakdown

Bitter Gourd
Bitter gourd (Momordica charantia) is a vegetable that originated in Southeast Asia. Grown largely as a field crop, it contains phytonutrients such as charantin and polypeptide-p, and is a good source of antioxidants. The metabolic impact of bitter gourd extract has been demonstrated in cell culture, animal, and human studies.
Garcinia
Garcinia gummi-gutta, (commonly known as Garcinia Cambogia or GC) is a small, pumpkin-shaped fruit with primary origins in Southeast Asia and India. The rind of the fruit contains hydroxycitric acid (HCA) , which is commonly known for its positive effect on weight loss. Many studies have shown that HCA, combined with other extracts of the fruit, exhibited anti-obesity results. These results concluded that HCA regulated serotonin levels, which relates to satiety, increased fat oxidation, and decreased de novo lipogenesis.
Guggul
Guggul is made from the sap of the Commiphora Mukul tree. Guggul contains phytosterols, gugulipids, and guggulsterones, all of which lower cholesterol and triglycerides. Guggul has been known to support high cholesterol, stiff joints, sinus issues and nervous system disorders.
Alpha lipolic Acid
Alpha-lipoic acid is a naturally occurring substance in foods such as spinach, broccoli, and potatoes. Studies have shown that the use of alpha-lipoic acid can provide therapeutic benefits for cognitive diseases, as well as aid in glucose uptake and glycogen syntheses. It is believed that alpha-lipoic acid has properties that act as biological antioxidants.
Milk Thistle
For thousands of years, Milk Thistle has been known to help treat a variety of disorders due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Silimarin, a dried mixture of flavonolignans found in Milk Thistle, modulate a variety of cell-signaling pathways that aid in lowering inflammation. Silibin, (a constitute of Silimarin) has been shown to halt symptoms of diabetic neuropathy because of its antioxidant properties.
Magnesium
Magnesium is an electrolyte that is one of the most abundant intracellular cations. Magnesium deficit is a prominent issue faced by diabetics, due to the fact that it can lead to insulin resistance. Studies have shown that supplementing magnesium helps promote normal blood pressure levels and prevent heart attacks, among other benefits.
Chromium
The trace element chromium is an essential component of the metabolism of glucose. It is also known to aid in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and protein. Additional supplementation of chromium in patients has been shown to reverse glucose intolerance in type one, type two, and gestational diabetes.

PRASADA™ Ingredient Breakdown

Plant-Based Protein
With Prasada’s plant-based blend, each serving packs 12 grams of sprouted brown rice and hemp protein.

Brown Rice Protein-High in vitamin c, calcium and iron, sprouted brown rice has much less starch than regular rice. Due to added enzymes and fermentation, carbohydrates will separate from the protein in brown rice, allowing just the protein to be extracted. In addition, brown rice protein provides a great amino acid profile-containing all the essential amino acids.

Hemp protein- There are several amino acids that are required for growth and muscle development, and hemp protein has them all. Along with a 3:1 ratio of essential fatty acids (omega -3 and omega-6), hemp protein provides substantial doses of magnesium, iron, potassium and calcium.

Antioxidant-Based Adaptogens

So, what’s an adaptogen? Adaptogens are naturally found herbs and plants that support the body in accommodating its environment. These accommodations are usually made in reference to stress and immune response, all of which can be thrown out of balance by diet, toxicity, and fatigue.

Medicinal Mushrooms- Prasada contains certified organic medicinal mushrooms including Reishi, Chaga, Lions Mane, and Fu Ling Poria. Many scientific studies have concluded that these adaptogen mushrooms have numerous antioxidant, antiviral, and antimicrobial benefits. Sometimes referred to as “magical”, these mushrooms also contain high levels of Vitamin D when exposed to sunlight.

Plants & Herbs- Turmeric root, maca root, Ashwagandha Root, Holy Basil, Camu Camu berry, and Dandelion Root are the other half of the adaptogen blend found in Prasada. Not only do these plants help the body mitigate the stress response, they are also high in antioxidant properties that support the immune system in fighting disease.

Super Greens and Sea Vegetables
Dark green vegetables – Dark greens are essential for reducing inflammation and balancing the body’s acid base. Prasada contains a blend of 8 super greens; Chlorella, Spirulina, Parsley Leaf, Holy basil, Moringa leaf, Nettles, Dandelion leaf, and E3Live AFA Algae. This combination of super greens provides an excellent source of vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients, and are a great source of fiber!

Sea vegetables – Sea vegetables are most commonly known for their bioavailable sources of minerals (namely iodine) that help produce the body’s thyroid hormones. Prasada’s blend of sea vegetables include Kelp (seaweed) and Dulse (red algae), both of which contain large amounts of essential trace minerals, as well as Vitamin K and potassium.

Probiotics
A healthy gut may be the most vital asset in the human body. That is why Prasada offers 8 strains of the most beneficial probiotics for gut health!

Healthy bacteria- Probiotics are “healthy bacteria” that line the digestive tract. This bacteria manufactures vitamins B12 and K, and produces essential enzymes that fight “bad” bacteria and aid in proper digestion. Prasada’s blend of probiotics helps provide the foundation for proper nutrient extraction and absorption.

Bitter Melon
Bitter melon is a fruit found in areas of Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean. For centuries, it has been used to treat a wide variety of disease, from liver ailments to respiratory infections and inflammation. Most recently, studies have shown bitter melon’s capacity to lower blood sugar and suppress appetite. Due to these characteristics, bitter melon has been used in traditional medicines for type 2 diabetes.
